The chill is in the air (finally!) and many of you are gearing up for fall festivals, trunk-or-treat events, etc. These are perfect opportunities to start building anticipation for next year’s Magnified! Here are a few ideas and resources to make that easier.
Each of the resources below is available for download as a pdf file and/or image. In many cases, I have also provided the Canva Template Link so that you may edit the file to make it better meet your needs.

Here’s one idea for a Save-the-Date postcard with a giveaway. For about 20 cents each (at the time of this posting), I think these bee keychains are adorable! You could also replace the keychain with a simple piece of candy (glue dots work great for that)…or just use the post card as is with no attachments. With the postcard printed on cardstock, I found the easiest way to attach the keychain was a mini binder clip, but you could also experiment with taping it, tying it, etc. Use this Canva Template link to make your own changes in Canva or see below for non-Canva users.

The Word document below has these designs ready to add your own text. They are 4 to a page with a 1/4″ border around each postcard to accommodate most printer requirements.

Here’s another idea that would be super cute with a plastic mini magnifying glass attached (glue dots to the rescue!). Of course, the magnifying glass is just an add-on, so the post card could easily be used without one.

As much as I love full-color printing, not everyone has an affordable option for using all that ink. Here are some options for flyers that can simply be run off on colored paper. These are sized 5″ x 8″ so that you can fit two on a page with a 1/4″ border around each flyer. The Canva link is available for those who want to edit in Canva. Below you’ll find the png files and Word document for those who don’t use Canva.

Here’s another fun little Magnified promotion: Bookmarks that kids can color. Just make your edits, plop a few on a page, print them on cardstock, and slice them apart. Pretty simple bookmarks! You can use this Canva Template Link to edit in your own info.

No worries! Right click on any of the images below to copy them and then save them to your computer. Then you can use any of your own programs to add your church’s info. CANVA HACK: For those of you who don’t have Canva Pro, you can also upload any of the images below to Canva and you won’t have to worry about the watermarks for images that require the upgraded account.
TRUNK-OR-TREAT IDEAS
As I’ve watched the posts popping up with requests for ideas for Trunk-or-Treat, I got the bee vibes! This is super easy to throw together with a banner and balloons along with a Walgreens custom vinyl banner cut in half (see below for details). Forgive the choppy picture. I didn’t actually create this in my trunk so I had to piece the components together just to provide some inspiration for you to run with.
I personally think bee decor is adorable. For this, I simply used an inexpensive honeycomb backdrop from Amazon (although you could easily make your own with yellow butcher paper or plastic tablecloth and a hexagon pattern that you trace repeatedly). The bees and flowers are big balloons. The sign and beanbag toss picture are made up of one 2′ x 6′ Walgreens vinyl banner that has been cut in half to create each component. The templates are below.
I am obsessed with Walgreens banners for all kinds of purposes. They run 50 to 60% off regularly, which makes them super affordable. In this case, 1 6-ft vinyl banner can be cut in half to give two 2′ x 3′ mini-banners. One can be glued to heavy cardboard or plywood. Cut a hole in it and you’ve got a beanbag toss game! The other can be hung or attached to just about anything for your promo poster. Note: Walgreens will usually add grommets wherever you want them, so be sure to let them if and where you want them.

Don’t have Canva? Here is a PNG image that can be uploaded directly to the Walgreens site. I know I’m a bit wonky sometimes, but this is actually sideways on purpose to make it easy to upload for a banner. You can use their editing tools to add your own text.

Looking for a Fall Fest activity…or something for kids to do at your Trunk-or-Treat station? Print one of these banners in vinyl and you’ll have the cover for a themed bean bag toss or cornhole game. You can make it yourself by cutting some plywood or heavy duty cardboard (or asking Home Depot to cut a piece for you) into a 2 ft x 3 ft rectangle. Use some superglue to attach the bee. Use a hole saw to cut a circle for your target. You can get fancy and build a stand for it, or you can just lay one side of it on some bricks so it is at an angle (just make sure it’s secure so the bean bags don’t knock it down).
Here’s the Canva Link for the bee version in case you want to make any changes. You can also resize these and make an 8 ft banner so that you have two 4′ x 2′ cornholes (which meets regulation in case anyone wants to get fussy about it…lol!).

Not up for making your own Cornhole? With some strategically placed grommets (which Walgreens will add for you), the vinyl banner could be zip tied to the frame of this cornhole game. It packs away in a handy case, which would allow you to hang onto it to change up the theme for future events. You’ll just have to modify the designs a bit to get the hole in the right place.
