The True North Curriculum will surely be rich with engaging lessons and activities that keep the kids active and involved in each station. However, one size does not always fit all when it comes to VBS! Sometimes additional activities are in order—maybe for some extra engagement during snack time or dinner; perhaps during the time when kids arrive early; heaven forbid we have a stormy VBS day, but when it happens some improvising can be required; and extra activities can be helpful as follow up activities for kids to take home or to use on Sundays. Not every church is able to purchase the preschool activities, so some of the free printables here might provide some fun options.
I am just beginning to post resources, but many more will come by Spring.
Each of the resources below is available for download as a pdf file and/or image. In many cases, I have also provided the Canva Template Link so that you may edit the file to make it better meet your needs.

If you like to have some simple coloring pages ready for the kids each day, these are a nice, easy printable. There’s a page for each day that has the Bible Point and Bible Verse, along with a picture of the buddy animal. To honor Group’s copyright, I don’t post anything here that uses their clipart, so my copy has some cute substitute animals in it. However, if you are a Canva user, you can easily swap out my pictures for the buddies in your Clipart file/CD.
Need dot markers? They can be a little pricey, but the decent ones last awhile. I found this set on Amazon—pretty good reviews and less expensive than a lot of the others.

I have found that the kiddos connect way better with all the animals in our themes than they do with the lovely flowers, pine trees, etc. Here are some fun fact coloring pages that can be used as filler…or just to emphasize our amazing God’s creativity in his Creation. There are posters with these same fun facts on the decorating page (or kiddos can color these to use as posters too!).
Truth Trek: Decode the Verse, Discover the Truth! Here are some fun additions for your crew bags! Crew leaders can take kids on a fun-filled “trek” through God’s Word with these rebus puzzles! Each page highlights the Daily Bible Verse in a visual way. It’s a great way to add in a meaningful activity for any moments where you need a little something extra (maybe during snack time or as the kids arrive in the morning). Do your kiddos like puzzles? Here is a wordsearch for each day of the week. The focus of each puzzle is the Bible Point, Bible Verse, and Bible Story. These can be printed in full color or a simple black-and-white version.
Snack time? Arrival time? Rainy day? This versatile cube is a great way to get kiddos talking. Put one in each crew bag or on the tables during snack. OR…Enlarge each square and tape it to the side of a cube-shaped box for even more fun tossing it around a room!

This is another fun filler activity that gives kids the option of doing something active or answering a VBS-themed question. The Canva Link below will allow you to change it up as needed. Directions are included (as well as a YouTube link for video instructions).
If you think Bingo is all about numbers, you are sorely mistaken! We all know that VBS doesn’t always go exactly as planned. Storms come, electricity goes out, leaders fall ill, etc. For the past couple years I have made an action-based Bingo that goes along with the theme, and a number of churches were able to use it on stormy days, during a follow-up event, etc.
With 20 different Bingo cards, you can either play this individually (if your group is small enough) or as crews working together (my favorite way to play!). The fun activities included are sure to keep your kiddos moving and laughing.
I made a full-color version first and then remembered that black and white is much cheaper for printing, so I made a b&w version too The two sets are identical except for the backgrounds & pictures. You can see samples below as well as the downloadable pdf with all 20 cards in either version.
