Easter is right around the corner and many of us have community outreach events planned to celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord! What a perfect opportunity to invite families back for your True North event! Here are a few items I’ve created to this end.
Each of the resources below is available for download as a pdf or Word file and/or image. In most cases, I have also provided the Canva Template Link so that you may edit the file to make it better meet your needs.
For our big community Easter Outreach, we are handing out invitations to VBS. I made these up with the invite on one side and the Easter card on the other (we went with the moose). While I can’t share any designs with Group’s clipart, the Canva link has the card with some other clipart as placeholders. You can just drop in Group’s Bible Buddy clipart and add your own church info. These are sized for 4-to-a-page.
Not a Canva user? No problem! You can use these backgrounds in any program you work with. Then just drop Group’s Bible Buddy clipart and your church info in place. The bunny ears in place ready for Kody to sit right in front of them!
If that still doesn’t work well for you, feel free to download the Word document below. Use the text boxes to edit your church info and just roll with the alternative clipart. The background images below are also in the Word document in case that makes it a bit easier to drop in the clipart too.
Have you got some volunteers to insert lollipops in cardstock? Here’s another cute option for an Easter invitation. Just print these on cardstock, use an Exacto knife to cut two little slits in the bears hand, and weave a lollipop through the slits. So fun! You can use the Canva Template link or the Word document to enter your info (or right click on the image and save it as a png file).
While these aren’t distinctly Easter, kids always love a treat so I don’t think they’d notice! Dollar Tree has boxes with 10 bags of teddy graham cookies, making them 12.5 cents each. Not bad for a promo item. Here are some treat toppers that will work well with those. You can also use any of these to top a baggie with just about any candy in it. Most the kiddos aren’t going to be overly worried about whether or not you matched the candy with the topper!

All the 4″ x 4″ designs are in this Canva Template Link. If you aren’t a Canva user, you can click on one of the designs that doesn’t have the date/church info and then download it directly so that you can add your own info and print it.

Here’s another super fun way to promote next year’s VBS! Grab some zipper seal snack bags and fill them with teddy grahams, mini marshmallows, and chocolate chips. Print the treat topper (you can customize it using the Canva Link to the left), fold it over the top of the sandwich bag and staple. Voila! You now have a super cute and tasty invitation for an amazing adventure!
Know your date for 2025? Try this version instead!
Don’t have Canva? No worries! Download the images or the Word Document below and insert the True North logo. You can also add your church website and your 2025 VBS dates if you know them already.
If your Easter celebration/event includes activities for kids, here’s a little coloring page you could include. One leaves room for you to add the date of your VBS so it also serves as a Save-the-Date.
Our younger kiddos love dot marker pages! These are fun with dot markers/bingo daubers or use stickers for even less mess! Take your pick how “Eastery” you wanna get.
Need dot markers? They can be a little pricey, but the decent ones last awhile. I found this set on Amazon—pretty good reviews and less expensive than a lot of the others.
