Creative Ministry with Kids

VBS is hands down my favorite event of the year. I absolutely love that we can give kids a week immersed in both a fun theme and a rock-solid experience with Jesus. It’s something they remember for years to come!

Since many churches do not have someone who can create custom items to go along with the theme each year, I love sharing my creations with other churches. I do believe that it is important as Christians that we respect all copyright rules that the publishers have established, but there is still so much creativity that can happen within those boundaries.

With so many incredible VBS options out there, it’s impossible to keep up with them all! My church has chosen Group Publishing’s VBS—we love the engaging themes, hands-on science, and Bible points that echo through every part of the day. So, many of the resources you’ll find here will center around Group’s current themes.

That said, I’m also thrilled to be supporting a couple of amazing churches using Lifeway’s VBS—another fantastic choice with rich lessons and creative flair. I’ll be adding as many helpful tools as I can to support Magnified this year.
